Abstract
From a psychological perspective, for the devoted believer especially university or college students, prayer might be a meaningful path that will help reincorporate health into one’s life. The purpose of the study in hand is to investigate the amount of the effect of regular participation in congregational prayers on Iranian middle aged men happiness. A group of 25 middle aged students of Shahid Sayyad Nezaja Applied Scientific Education Center who regularly participated in congregational prayers and 25 middle aged students who didn't participate in congregational prayers were selected through random sampling method. They were supposed to complete the questionnaire by Hills and Argyle (2002) the validity and reliability of which was approved in Iranian context. After collecting the questionnaires and by using SPSS software version 16 independent sample t-test was run which showed that the amount of happiness among those who regularly participated in congregational prayers is higher than the other group in the study.
